Favorite part? All the kissing.
Least favorite part? All the socializing.
Just kidding.
No, but really, my favorite part of the day was by far the actual marriage ceremony in the temple.
It was incredible to be surrounded by so many loved ones and to hear the inspired words of the sealer (the man who performs the marriage) as he counseled us and congratulated us. We loved how many people came out to support us, both at the temple and afterwards at the reception. I felt overwhelmed with love, which is exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. I remember being with Matt in the elevator just minutes before we’d be getting married and just glowing on the inside–Matt leaned over, told me he loved me and that he couldn’t wait to be mine forever. So many people told me to just slow down on our wedding day to enjoy every moment, and that was one of those “moments” that I’ll always want to remember.
My least favorite part of the day was the fact that we weren’t able to get family pictures after the luncheon. Somehow, there had been a gap in the communication loop, so not everyone understood that we were going to be doing pictures right before the reception started. Luckily though, we had gotten a lot of good family pictures up at the temple, so I’m really appreciative of that.
Overall, it was a beautiful day.
It was the day that I married my best friend.
I get to be with him forever.
How could it not have been a wonderful day?
What was your favorite/least favorite part of your wedding day? Anything you would do over?
