We acquired a lot of produce over the weekend thanks to another Bountiful Basket from my mom, so we figured what better way to start using it all than by making homemade salsa?
I used to work in a Mexican food booth on campus for a couple years, and while there, I learned how to make a simple (but delicious!) basic pico de gallo salsa that is now my go-to recipe.
Basically all you do is mix a favorable blend of fresh tomatoes, red onions, jalapeno peppers, cilantro, and freshly-squeezed lime until you reach your desired spiciness level.
Apparently our spicy level is sore-throat-inducing hot, because that’s what I woke up to the next morning.
It was totally worth it.
I also had fun trying out new hairstyles on the new ‘do, and I think I like it best when my bangs are full-on blunt and not sideswept.
What do you think?
