Although this is arguably the worst song ever recorded, I have been hearing it on every corner of campus. For anyone who doesn’t know the big deal about this song, 13-year-old Rebecca Black wanted to make a music video. So what does she do? She has her parents shell out a whole bunch of money to a professional music video-making company so that they can produce what they guaranteed would become an instant hit. Well, the song has gotten over 70 million hits on Youtube, and Rebecca Black has been interviewed on various shows, including The Today Show and Jay Leno. Although many parodies have come out, my favorite has to be Conan O’Brien’s “Thursday” video.
